Wood Floor Colours and Types

MAPLE: 

Classic grade of maple with some natural mineral and heartwood elements and nice colour variation.

BEECH:

European Beech offers a medium range of colour variability. Ranges in colour from light cream to a medium tan brown.

BIRCH:

Sapwood is creamy yellow pale while; heartwood is light reddish brown tinged with red.

WHITE OAK:

Nice colour variation from pieces sawn from the inside and outside of the tree, some sound filled knotting.

RED OAK:

Warmer colour than white oak coarser grain.

ANTIQUE OAK:

Dark stained white oak.

CHERRY:

Extreme degree of colour change due to sunlight and oxidation.

WALNUT:

Some nice colour variation from ivory to dark chocolate brown.

KEMPAS:

Course grained ,very hard, light tan to dark orangey red.

MERBAU:

Dark gold to copper brown straight grained, very hard and highly impermeable.

TIGER WOOD:

Bold Stripes –
Orangish/Reddish Brown.

 

JATOBA:

Brownish Red Colour, Darkens To A Deep Reddish/Brown.

IPE:

Deep Dark Brown – Fine Grain One Of The Densest Woods Available.
