Frequently asked questions
How much does wood flooring cost?
Our floors run from £22 to about £118 per square metre excluding VAT, with most falling around £48. Everything is priced per square metre, and the product page shows both the per-square-metre price and the pack size so you can work out the total for your room.
Can I order samples before buying?
Yes. You can order up to three samples free of charge and see them in your own light before deciding. Request them from the samples page and we post them out.
Do you deliver, and where?
We deliver across mainland UK, Monday to Friday, through a nominated carrier. Delivery is kerbside, so please arrange help to move the packs, as wood flooring is heavy. You can also collect from our warehouse at Unit 11, Malham Road Industrial Estate, Forest Hill, London SE23 1AH by prior arrangement.
What is the difference between engineered and solid wood flooring?
Solid boards are one piece of timber throughout. Engineered boards have a real wood top layer bonded to a stable plywood base, which moves far less with changes in humidity. Almost our whole range is engineered, and it is the practical choice for most London homes and the only one we would put over underfloor heating.
Can I use your flooring over underfloor heating?
Seventy-two of our floors are approved for underfloor heating, roughly half the range. The product page states it for each floor. Solid wood is not suitable.
